A Message to the Union
Yes, this means you Unison, the RPSSUK is not frightened of you nor does it fear your reprisals.

A Union is supposed to be a good thing, a protective umbrella for all, however when it goes wrong or the wrong people gain control, look what happens...


 

We at the RPSSUK are disgusted with the way you blindly protect your member's over the public, there is no excuse whatsoever for the way Unison applies pressure on departments to protect social workers who have been caught fair and square. Threats of strike action and worse unless the worker is cleared out of hand, yet never once do you look into the matter in hand to see if maybe, maybe there could be a justification for a workers disciplinary action. All that happens is corrupt workers get away with it, it also sends a clear message to all that bad practice is acceptable because the union will "sort it"

If there is evidence of innocence in a disciplinary situation then Unison should champion it's member's cause, however if there is evidence of the opposite then Unison should restrain itself in further action and allow the situation to be fairly investigated without any leverage whatsoever.

Unions were set up solely for the mutual protection of its members from OPPRESSION from the rich and powerful, it has now become the case where Unison has become the OPPRESSORS and again the people are the ones that suffer.

Time and again we hear and see of member's who fall foul of this union, especially whistleblowers who find themselves bereft of support from anyone in their vicinity, so logically if a whistleblower discloses illegal, immoral or other suspect practice and the management and unions OBJECT to this then they are also logically ENDORSING aforementioned illegal, immoral or suspect practice.

If a whistleblower is found to be correct we demand that people stating to the contrary should be investigated.

And whilst Unison has its fingers in the pie known as the Labour Party and has some control over the national college of the Labour Party then nothing will change.

I grew up with the Union way of life but I have never come across such a disgraceful code of ethics ANYWHERE, any union chapter leader that calls a strike or applies leverage aginst a local authority to protect a corrupt or inept social worker should be charged himself......

Misconduct in a Public Office, alongside his member.

UNISON ARE EQUALLY RESPONSIBLE TO ANY POTENTIAL DAMAGE TO A CHILDS WELLBEING AND EMOTIONAL STATE IF THEY UNRESERVEDLY PROTECT A SOCIAL WORKER THAT LIES, CHEATS AND WORSE!!!
